Privacy Policy

CleanHavenly (“we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit cleanhavenly.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over your data.

If you have any questions about this policy or your data, contact us at hello@cleanhavenly.com.

What Data We Collect

We collect the following types of personal data:

  • Contact details you give us directly — your name and email address, when you sign up for the newsletter, download a printable, or send us a message through the contact form.
  • Usage data — your IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, time spent on the site, and how you arrived at the site. This is collected automatically through analytics and advertising tools.
  • Cookies and similar technologies — small files stored on your device that remember your preferences and help us understand how the site is used. See our Cookie Policy for the full list.
  • Comments — if you leave a comment, we collect the name and email address you provide with it, along with the comment itself.

We do not collect payment details. CleanHavenly does not sell products directly, and we never ask for your address, phone number, or financial information.

You can withdraw your consent at any time — for example, by unsubscribing from the newsletter or changing your cookie choices in the cookie banner. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did lawfully before you withdrew it.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services, which may collect data as described in their own privacy policies:

  • Google Analytics (GA4) — measures how visitors use the site, such as which articles are read and how long people stay. IP addresses are anonymised where the service allows it.
  • MailerLite — our email provider. When you sign up for the newsletter or a printable, your name and email address are stored with MailerLite so we can send you what you asked for.
  • Amazon Associates — our affiliate programme. When you click a link to Amazon, Amazon may set cookies to track the referral so a commission can be paid if you buy.
  • Advertising networks — display ads on this site are served by third-party ad networks, which may use cookies to show you ads based on your browsing.
  • Social media embeds — content embedded from Pinterest, Instagram, or other platforms may collect data under those platforms’ own policies.

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the service providers listed above, and only so they can provide the services described here.

Cookies

We use cookies for analytics, advertising, affiliate tracking, and remembering your preferences (such as cookie choices). You can manage cookies through the cookie-consent banner shown when you first visit the site, and through your browser settings. See our Cookie Policy for details.

How Long We Keep Your Data

  • Newsletter subscribers: kept while you are subscribed, and deleted after you unsubscribe (apart from a record that you unsubscribed, so we do not email you again).
  • Contact form messages: kept for as long as needed to answer you, and then deleted.
  • Analytics data: kept in aggregated form; individual-level analytics data is retained only for the period set in our analytics settings.
  • Comments: kept for as long as the article they belong to is published, unless you ask us to remove them.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access — ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction — ask us to fix data that is wrong or incomplete.
  • Deletion — ask us to delete your personal data.
  • Restriction — ask us to limit how we use your data.
  • Portability — ask for your data in a portable format.
  • Objection — object to our use of your data on legitimate-interest grounds.
  • Withdraw consent — withdraw consent you previously gave, at any time.

To use any of these rights, email hello@cleanhavenly.com. We will respond within a reasonable time and may ask you to confirm your identity first.

California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)

If you live in California, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), including the right to know what personal information we collect and why, the right to delete it, the right to correct it, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information.

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information: CleanHavenly does not sell your personal information for money. Some of our advertising and analytics partners may collect data through cookies in ways that California law treats as “sharing” for cross-context behavioural advertising. If you would like to opt out of that sharing, you can do so by changing your cookie choices in the cookie-consent banner, by enabling the Global Privacy Control signal in your browser, or by emailing us at hello@cleanhavenly.com with the subject line “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information”.

We will not discriminate against you for using any of your privacy rights.

Visitors From the European Union and the United Kingdom (GDPR)

If you visit from the EU or the UK, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies to your data. The lawful bases for our processing are listed in the table above. You have the rights listed in the “Your Rights” section, and you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority if you believe we have handled your data unfairly.

Because our analytics, advertising, and affiliate tools use cookies and tracking, we show a cookie-consent banner to visitors from the EU and the UK. You can accept or decline non-essential cookies there, and change your choice at any time.

Children’s Privacy

CleanHavenly is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal data, please email hello@cleanhavenly.com and we will delete it.

Data Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your data, including secure hosting, encrypted connections (HTTPS), and limiting access to the systems that hold subscriber and contact data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Links to Other Websites

Our articles link to other websites, including retailers, manufacturers, and trusted sources. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Please read their privacy policies when you visit them.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example when we add a new service or when the law changes. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date below. Significant changes will be noted on the site.
